Booking Terms

1. Parties to the Contract
When you book a lesson through Gusty, the lesson contract is between you and the school that provides the lesson. Gusty is an intermediarythat provides the booking technology — we are not a party to the lesson contract and do not provide the lesson ourselves.
The school is responsible for the quality, safety, and delivery of the lesson.
2. Booking a Lesson
A booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email or WhatsApp message. Before that point, no contract exists between you and the school.
You are responsible for providing accurate contact details, skill level, and any other information the school needs to deliver your lesson safely.
3. Payment
Payment is processed through the payment provider selected by your school. Gusty does not hold or receive payment on behalf of the school, except for a platform fee disclosed to the school in its own terms.
Prices shown include VAT where applicable. The school issues the invoice.
4. Cancellation and Refunds
Each school sets its own cancellation policy, shown on the booking page before you pay. Typical policies allow a full refund for cancellations at least 24 hours before the lesson, and a partial refund for cancellations between 12 and 24 hours before.
You can cancel from the link in your confirmation email. The refund outcome is calculated automatically based on the school's policy at the time you cancel.
If the school cancels the lesson (for example, due to weather), you will receive a full refund.
5. Right of Withdrawal
Under Portuguese consumer law (Decreto-Lei 24/2014, Article 17(1)(a)), the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to services tied to a specific date or period, such as a booked lesson. By confirming your booking, you acknowledge this exemption.
This does not affect your right to cancel under the school's cancellation policy (section 4).
6. Safety and Weather
The school is responsible for assessing whether conditions are safe for the lesson. The school may reschedule or cancel a lesson if weather or other conditions make it unsafe.
You must follow the instructor's guidance at all times and disclose any medical conditions that could affect your ability to participate safely.
7. Liability
Gusty's liability is limited to the correct operation of the booking platform. Gusty is not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from the lesson itself — that is the responsibility of the school, as set out in its own terms.
8. Your Data
Gusty processes your booking data on behalf of the school. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect, why, and your rights.
9. Complaints
If you have a complaint, please contact the school first. You can also submit a complaint via the Portuguese Livro de Reclamações at livroreclamacoes.pt.
